What Evelyn Gordon can offer

Executive Search Retained Recruitment TIC and Opthalmology and Optometry

The retained approach is usually the most effective in any case. You have our undivided attention with it being an exclusive search. Time frames to send over a shortlist of 3-5 relevant candidates is usually between 15 - 30 days. Going retained also opens the door to exploring candidates not on the open market (e.g. LinkedIn) as there are still 1/3 of professionals not on the platform! Furthermore, we have access to speaking with candidates who are not necessarily 'open to work', as this is usually where the best talent lie.

The retained approach also makes things much less complicated; you will not receive the same CV / Resume from 4 different recruiters with different terms on each one... instead you have 1 main point of contact who will be dedicated to securing the placement.

Our retained process also offers free advertisement of the roles online which usually cost £500 each (company name confidential at request). NDAs for candidates can also be utilised in the retained method if the search is confidential. The last thing you want on a confidential search is multiple recruiters openly discussing the same role to a range of candidates who may not even be relevant

The best thing about this search is the fee level stays the same as it would be for a contingent method.

Contingent Executive Search Recruitment TIC and Opthalmology and Optometry

Contingent has been used mostly in the past and is widely known as the traditional approach to recruitment, with more and more companies now deciding to go retained due to the more in depth and efficient process.

The contingent method is usually the preferred method of working when an employer wants to work with multiple agencies in a 'no win, no fee' format which is mostly within easy to fill roles that do not require extra resources.

Time frames vary for a contingent search; a shortlist of candidates can be expected within the first 4-6 weeks.
